Advance Guard® Borate Pressure Treated Wood is designed for interior
applications to provide maximum protection against fungal attack as well
as a broad spectrum of wood destroying insects, including carpenter ants,
wood boring beetles, Formosan and other subterranean termites, above
ground and out of contact with continuous liquid water.

Advance Guard® Borate Pressure Treated Wood is not recommended
for decks or other outdoor structures exposed to weathering.
Weather Exposure
Advance Guard® Borate Pressure Treated Wood is intended for interior
use and above ground protected applications. Advance Guard® Borate Pressure
Treated Wood requires permanent protection from the weather and should not be
subjected to direct wetting. Only allow properly dried treated wood to be
enclosed.

Compatibility
Advance Guard® Borate Pressure Treated Wood has little or no effect on most
fasteners, ferrous metals, plastics, rubber, putties, bituminous solutions,
other sealants or primer paints
Workability and Finishing
Construction techniques and handling precautions for building with Advance Guard® Borate Pressure
Treated Wood are similar to building with untreated wood, plastic, steel and
concrete. Advance Guard®
Borate Pressure Treated lumber and plywood can be machined, shaped, glued,
coated and painted; the borate preservative does not affect most ferrous metals,
wood fasteners or screws.
Storage
Advance Guard® Borate Pressure Treated lumber and plywood must be kept
dry, off the ground, protected from the weather, undercover or covered
with plastic tarps allowing for adequate air circulation.
Disposal
Borate pressure treated wood and its components are not listed as hazardous
wastes. Dispose in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheet and local requirements.
