Standards
Lumber and plywood are treated in accordance with Advance Guard® Borate Pressure
Treated Wood Product Standards. Advance Guard® products are treated to a minimum
retention of 2.7 kg/m3 (0.17 pcf) as B2O3.
Higher retention levels may be specified
by the purchaser. (A minimum retention of 4.5 kg/m3 (0.28 pcf)
as B2O3 is required for
Formosan termites.)
Quality Control
Retention and penetration of the boron in treated wood are determined by
analysis of borings of the treated wood, in accordance with recognized industry methodology.

Treating processes are reviewed under an approved quality program with periodic
inspections by an accredited independent quality control agency.
